Adam Sandler has promised to get naked on the set of his new movie, it has emerged. Sandler has said he wants the cast and crew of ‘Born To Be A Star’ to go naked to prevent the stars of the movie from being nervous, reports Contactmusic. As the writer and producer of the porn comedy, Sandler has insisted to strip down when several of the ensemble nude scenes are filmed.
“He told the cast, ‘If you have to get naked, everyone on this set has to get naked’. Now the crew are all really nervous,” said an unidentified source. Joining the cast of Born To Be A Star will be Stephen Dorff and Christina Ricci. Adam Sandler wants all the crew members of his new film Born to Be a Star to strip down to their birthday suits so that he and other actors don’t get nervous while shooting for the movie.
The 42-year-old actor is the writer and producer of film, which is about a boy who moves to Hollywood to become a porn star. Sandler has shown he is not adverse to flashing his flesh to support the case by wearing tight, white underwear and has also vowed to strip off himself when any nude scenes are shot.
Right now his hands are full. High concept comedy The Zookeeper has added a host of big names to its cast to voice the various critters – with Adam Sandler, Sly Stallone and Cher all signing up. Sandler has agreed to lend his voice to the film, (he was easy to convince since he’s also producing) which sees zoo worker Kevin James attempting to woo Rosario Dawson (below) – with a little help from his animals.
Sandler’s playing a capuchin monkey, while Cher will provide the voice for a giraffe and Sly a lion. Also on board are Iron Man helmer on Favreau and Judd Apatow, a man not usually known for his work in front of the camera (or even, in this case, behind a microphone). Favreau’s playing a bear, while Apatow will voice an elephant.
Regular Happy Madison helmer Frank Coraci is marshalling it all together and plans to kick off shooting later in the summer for an October release Stateside next year.
There is more news from this funny man. The Adam Sandler film “Grown Ups” has prompted Woodman’s Restaurant in Essex to close in June for the first time in over 95 years – beginning tonight, Monday, June 22 and reopening (tentatively) Friday, June 26.
According to Woodmans.com, “The torrential rain predicted for the next few days has caused many people, including Hollywood, to do some last minute rescheduling. Woodman’s of Essex was contacted early this morning and asked by producers if they could start setting the stage tonight. Originally the restaurant had planned to close their doors in early August.”
“They needed a spot to do some indoor shooting in order to stay on schedule. It was short notice for sure and we’ve been scrambling all morning,” Maureen Woodman said on the Web site. “But we figure it is better to close on three rainy days in June than three nice days in August even if we don’t have much lead time.”
Grown Ups” — which along with Sandler will also reportedly star Maya Rudolph, Salma Hayek, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Maria Bello, David Spade and Chris Rock – is about five good friends who reunite 30 years after their high school graduation for a Fourth of July holiday weekend. Filming is reportedly being done in Essex and Southborough, Mass. It is being directed by Dennis Dugan, who also directed Sandler in “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” and “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.” The script was written by Sandler, a New Hampshire native, and “Saturday Night Live” writer Fred Wolf.
